The flight schedule of InselAir experienced a disruption yesterday the 2nd of September 2018.

The Fokker50 PJ-KVM that InselAir is operating encountered an electronic problem yesterday as a result of which all flights to Aruba and Bonaire had to be canceled.

An aircraft from Aruba Airlines was chartered to transport passengers to and from Aruba and as many passengers as possible were transferred to other airlines. It turned out not to be possible to transport all passengers since most flights of other airlines were full due to the Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival. The non-local passengers that were stranded were accommodated in hotels.

After elaborate troubleshooting that took the whole day, the aircraft was declared airworthy again at 0300 Monday morning. On Monday an adapted schedule will be operated to ensure that all passengers from yesterday and today will reach their destination.

InselAir apologizes for the inconvenience.
