THE 3RD CIBC FIRSTCARIBBEAN WALK FOR THE CURE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS WITH RECORD AMOUNT OF PARTICIPANTS

Willemstad October 23 – An inspiring sunset lighting up the unique architecture of Willemstad set the stage for a group that was bigger than ever before to participate in the 3rd CIBC FirstCaribbean Walk for the Cure last Saturday.  The interest for the walk grew and so did also the ambiance surrounding those taking part in the walk, accompanied by a mini brassband.  Kids of parents participating in the Walk were taken care of in a special childcare area in the parking lot where they enjoyed themselves in bouncy castles. All participants received a goody bag with various promotional items. The proceeds generated through this Walk will be donated to the Princess Wilhelmina Fonds so they can continue with their valuable work in the fight against the disease of cancer in Curaçao.  The 6 kilometre Walk started in the parking lot of CIBC FirstCaribbean at De Ruyterkade # 61 in Punda and finished at same spot. The CIBC FirstCaribbean Walk for the Cure in Curaçao is of one of the events to raise funds for the care and support of persons fighting cancer held all across the Caribbean in all the 17 countries where CIBC FirstCaribbean has offices.  CIBC FirstCaribbean is taking part in this along with its parent company, CIBC, which is in its 18th year of supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Run for the Cure.
