PAN-AMERICAN LIFE NAMES NEW DIRECTOR IN THE DUTCH CARIBBEAN


Willemstad 12/09/13 Pan-American Life Insurance Group, a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced today that Valery Abel Maria Sinot has been named as their new Managing Director –  Dutch Caribbean. “The Dutch Caribbean is an important part of our regional portfolio,” said Pan-American Life’s CEO and Managing Director – Caribbean, Miguel Sierra. “With his skills and background, particularly on the employee benefits side of the business, Valery is the ideal person to bring focus and effective leadership to our operations in this jurisdiction.” Originally from The Netherlands, Sinot has been based in Curaçao since 2007, during which time he served as Manager of Marketing and Sales for Fatum, a part of Guardian Holdings Limited. His other professional experiences include serving as Relationship Manager for Institutional Clients at ING Investment Management and as Senior Relationship Manager – Special Relations at Nationale-Nederlanden Corporate Clients. “In many ways 2013 has been about building the foundation for our future success across the Dutch and English speaking Caribbean,” Sierra added. “Valery’s addition to the Pan-American Life family is a reflection of our commitment to building a team of strong and experienced individuals with high level expertise across all areas of the business, that will drive our growth in 2014 and beyond.” Sinot earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands before going on to pursue two Master’s degrees, in Building Technology and in Architecture.
