Mike Bosman joins the Corendon family in Curaçao!

As per September 1st, 2022, Mike Bosman will start in a new role as resort manager of the Mangrove Beach Resort.

Biray Ogut will continue to lead and guide Corendon’s Hotels and Resorts on the island of Curaçao as Regional Director.

Mangrove Beach Resort opened its doors in the middle of the Corona pandemic. This 399-room resort located on the south part of the island, is also part of ‘the Curio Collection by Hilton’ family. The resort is home to 11 food and beverage facilities along with 4 pools, a state-of-the-art Aquapark, a 24/7 fitness center, a private beach and much more.

Construction of an additional resort next to the existing Mangrove Beach Resort has already begun, under the leadership of Biray Ogut. This new 311 room resort will be completed by the 3rd quarter of 2023.  Although the name of the latest addition to the Corendon family has yet to be revealed, we can announce that it will be a new concept containing different facilities including a beach club.  This is just one of the many plans that Corendon has in store for the near future.

Atilay Uslu (founder and owner of Corendon) and Mariska Nunes (managing director) are enthusiastic about Mike’s addition to the company; “he brings a lot of international experience while working for large hotels and resorts, and that is exactly what we need. Mike is also someone who knows how to do business in a socially responsible manner. We think that is extremely important, especially in Curaçao. Just recently, blooming hotel was voted the ‘Most Sustainable Hotel’ in the Netherlands”.

Mike is very excited about this new step in his career; “I am currently still working as the general manager of blooming group in Bergen (NH).  I’m taking the necessary steps to hand over my responsibilities in the coming months. We recently signed the letter of intent with the initiators of the new project ‘Nieuw Nassau Bergen’ and the future looks blooming! I leave this wonderful company ready to succeed now and in the near future. After five and a half years, it’s time for another international adventure. Previously I worked abroad at, ‘Vale do Lobo’ in Portugal, ‘The Belfry’ in England and ‘Royal Caribbean Cruise lines’ in Miami. I now look forward to moving to the Caribbean and working in an environment that I truly love”.
