Willemstad – Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) is very pleased with the new service announcement from JetBlue Airways, JFK International Airport, Terminal 5, in New York City to Curacao International Airport in Curacao. Service will be twice weekly on Tuesday and Saturdays on an A320 aircraft with 150 seats as of December 2, 2014. Within CAP’s air service strategic development plan, the Northeast US region showed the largest demand and potential region for nonstop service. CAP together with CTB and CHATA worked with JetBlue in securing this which compliments twice daily service from Miami on American Airlines and daily on InselAir. Additional service will offer passengers more options in travel to Curacao and in addition brings awareness of the island to a new market segment that is loyal to JetBlue. CAP believes that not only the tourism market will benefit from this new service but so will the local community. JetBlue offers competitive air fares, comfortable seats, free inflight entertainment, fun crewmembers, first checked bags are free and unlimited blue chips. “JetBlue’s profile and market mix are a perfect fit for Curacao”, said Ralph Blanchard, CEO Curacao Airport Partners. “JetBlue is a very reputable airline company and has been awarded its 10th consecutive Customer Satisfaction Honor by J.D. Power earlier this year. It is an honor to welcome them as our newest partner. Our entire team looks forward to working together with JetBlue in securing that the service is not only successful but grows to daily in the near future. CAP worked together with CTB and CHATA in securing this service and the partnership is what made this happen. We look forward to the inaugural flight’.
