CHATA Ready for Curaçao Culinary Team 2018


Willemstad, August 2nd 2017, Yesterday, CHATA presented its plans for the Curaçao Culinary Team 2018 at CHATA Member Licores Maduro. During this evening CTB also awarded the Curaçao Culinary Team 2017 with a Dushi Hende Award in order to celebrate their achievements at the Taste of the Caribbean competition. In addition to this, CHATA took the opportunity to thank all sponsors of the Curaçao Culinary Team 2017.

In June of 2017, the Curaçao Culinary Team competed at the Taste of the Caribbean in Miami, where they were awarded with a high silver medal for all their efforts. The many trainings and actual competition of the team in Miami was made possible by the support and trust of the many sponsors of the Curaçao Culinary Team. CHATA finds competitions such as the Taste of the Caribbean very important, as we not only manage to put Curaçao on the map but also give youngsters a chance to prove themselves and grow in the industry. Therefore, CHATA has announced that they will continue with the Curaçao Culinary Team in 2018 with a brand new team. Through the Curaçao Culinary Competitions CHATA provides a platform to cooks and bartenders to grow within the hospitality industry and increase the awareness in the Culinary world.

Sign Up for the Curaçao Culinary Team 2018

CHATA encourages all that have an interest to join the Curaçao Culinary Team 2018 and are currently working for a CHATA Member property to join the Curaçao Culinary Team workshop taking place on Saturday August 19th from 10AM to 11.30AM. During this workshop the current culinary team will provide insights of the local and international culinary competitions. During this day, it will also be possible to sign-up for the Curaçao Culinary Team competitions that will determine the team that will represent Curaçao in Taste of the Caribbean Competitions 2018.

The Cooking Competitions will take place on September 16th and the Bartender Competitions will take place on September 22nd.
