July and Year to date Occupancy, ADR and RevPAR increased compared to 2014

Willemstad, September 1^st 2015 – Curaçao Hotel occupancy Year to Date (Jan – Jul) figures suggest a 3.1% growth in Curaçao Hotel Occupancy compared to the same period last year. July 2015, compared to the same month last year suggests a considerable growth with an 8.6% occupancy surge.

Curaçao YTD and July occupancy figures illustrate a surge compared to last year’s figures with July 2015 Occupancy coming in at 65.2% occupancy indicating a 8.6% growth on 2014’s 56.6%. Though being one of the shoulder months, July has performed substantially better as compared to previous years, and indicating an ongoing Hotel Occupancy growth trend which can be attributed to the annually increasing arrivals.

Hotel Average Daily Rate (ADR) July 2015 performance has increased with a $6.72 upsurge on last year’s $136.14 ADR.  When considering the Year to Date performance, the ADR has increased with an average of $3.67 in 2015 with a $154.17 YTD ADR.

Curaçao’s Hotel Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR), along with occupancy and ADR has witnessed a significant growth in 2015 when compared to 2014. The July 2015 Hotel RevPAR came in at $93.16, signifying a $16.15 growth compared to 2014.  The YTD Hotel RevPAR performance also represents a growth when compared to the same period in 2014. The growth as compared to last year is $7.25; this sums the 2015 YTD Hotel RevPAR to $109.29 in 2015.

Both the month of July and the YTD performance suggest an increase in Occupancy, ADR and RevPAR for Curaçao. A considerable growth has been denoted in all three areas; thus indicating that the Curaçao Hotel Industry has performed better as compared to preceding years.
