Willemstad, September 2015 – CHATA has been gearing up to take its Small Accommodation Program to the next level ever since its launch in June. 12 additional CHATA Small Accommodations were awarded with a CHATA Award and Certification, with the total CHATA approved Small Accommodations mounting up to 22 Certified properties.
In June CHATA successfully launched its new Small Accommodation Certification Program. Upon launch of this program, 10 CHATA Small Accommodations were awarded with the Small Accommodation Award.
Ever since, CHATA has been gearing up to take the Small Accommodation Program to the next level by increasing the amount of certified Small Accommodations participating in this program. On September 10th a Small Accommodation Program ceremony was held at CHATA’s office, 12 additional Small Accommodations were awarded with certifications for passing CHATA’s minimum requirements for Small Accommodations to accommodate tourists.
Small Accommodations in CHATA’s Small Accommodation Program include, but are not limited to; Bed and Breakfasts, Guesthouses, Holiday Cottages, Cabanas Holiday Villas, Inns, Small Hotels, Boutiques, Holiday Apartments and Small Resorts with 40 rooms or less.
The program fosters partnerships with foreign Tour Operators, since the certification reflects the compliance with minimum requirements to be a functional Small Accommodation. Additionally, the certification features numerous benefits such as access to CHATA’s online marketing platform, and booklets functioning as promotional initiatives for international marketing efforts for small accommodations.
CHATA will be cooperating with travel wholesalers TUI and Corendon to promote and foster bookings for the certified Small Accommodations. CHATA’s new website is currently in the works and will also feature online exposure for its small accommodation members which have been certified.
CHATA President & CEO states “This is a unique opportunity for small accommodations on our island to enjoy great exposure in Curaçao’s key markets. Initially the accommodations will experience exposure in the European market through TUI and Corendon, when considering the market demand and small accommodation quality, I can optimistically say that Curaçao’s other key markets could follow soon enough.”
CHATA Small Accommodations that received their certification and award are:
B&B Sombré di Kabana ‘T Klooster Boutique hotel Ocean Sky
Kas Kinikini Academy Hotel Casa Sablica
Scuba Lodge Baoase Luxury Resort Ocean Garden
