WILLEMSTAD- July 1, 2021 – The inauguration of Jetair Caribbean’s new Curaçao – Jamaica route was celebrated in a pleasant atmosphere at the Curaçao International Airport. The inaugural flight marks the opening of the airline’s fourth destination. Speakers at the reception included the Minister of Economic Development, Mrs. Ruthmilda Larmonie – Cecilia, the Minister of Traffic, Transportation and Urban Planning, Mr. Charles Cooper, Managing Director Jetair Caribbean, Mr. Antonio Ribeiro, CEO Jetair Caribbean, Mr. Robert Maas, Director of Air Service Marketing & Development at Curaçao Airport Partners, Mrs. Peggy Croes and Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association Managing Director,Mrs. Maria-Helena Seferina-Rojas.
This new route offered by Jetair will allow more visitors from Jamaica to come and experience the unique product Curaçao has to offer, including beautiful beaches, a rich culture, the island’s history and architecture, a variety of tourist attractions and, most of all, our friendly people. At the same time, this also expands the travel options available to the local population. The Jetair flight will be taking place on Thursdays. The flights will be operated with an 80-seat capacity Fokker 70. The airline’s aim is to continue expanding its flight schedule with other Caribbean and South American routes.
The Government of Curaçao, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) and the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) want to congratulate Jetair, wishing them all the best with this new destination.
