On Saturday, 7th of February at 8:00 PM, Angela Roe, jazz vocalist, and her brother Tony Roe, prominent jazz pianist from the Netherlands will take the stage of Teatro Luna Blou for a unique Jazz concert. They will be joined by Curaçao’s top musicians: Eric Calmes on bass, Gilly Braaf on drums, Dennis Aalse on horns, and Marvin Snijders on percussion. This concert is a rather unique one, for a couple of reasons. First, sister and brother Angela and Tony have not performed together in over ten years, since she lives in Curaçao and he lives in Amsterdam… Such is sibling life sometimes. Secondly, the main reason why the internationally renowned Tony Roe is coming to the island is to celebrate their mother’s 75th birthday! A jazz concert, together with some of Curacao’s finest musicians, seems like the best birthday gift! So the “Blue Moon Jazz” concert was quickly decided and arranged. And last but not least, any musical event with Curaçao’s finest – Eric Calmes, Gilly Braaf, Dennis Aalse and Marvin Snijders – will be amazing.
