Agriculture meets Vegan Goods Market!


Willemstad- June 24, 2018, Vegan Curacao organizes their 7th event called “Vegan Goods Market”. This time with the theme “Agriculture”. This event allows visitors to experience how many opportunities there are in locally produced products & meals. Vegan Goods Market takes place in Hofi Cas Cora. In addition, there are several free workshops & lectures to learn how to create your own vegetable garden, among other things.

Visitors can surprise their taste buds with the delicious pastries and dishes of “BAKED”, “DushiVegan” and “Back2Eden”. Museum Kas Di Pal’I Maishi also sells real traditional local dishes that are prepared in a vegan way.

Vegan Goods Market is an eco-friendly event. Pure Water Curaçao will be present with a Water station so people do not have to use plastic bottles or cups. Awareness of how we handle our environment well is central to this day. That is why free workshops are being organized this day, including permaculture and the creation of a private vegetable garden. Edwin Bonne of “Caribbean Packaging Center” will give a short lecture about what the developments are in alternative environmentally conscious disposables.

During the upcoming edition, extra attention will be paid to the young visitors of Vegan Goods Market. Children are our future for a better world. In a playful way, they can learn what is good and healthy for people and society. There is a special free kids corner where the Host Chivasuka will give a “Let’s eat the rainbow” sushi workshop. Between 16.00 & 18.00 Kim Emnes of “KIDS in Motion” is ready to entertain the children with various fun games.

Vegan Goods Market is an interactive way to get acquainted with a vegan lifestyle for young and old. The following areas can be discovered: Foodcourt, Workshop Area, Natural and Organic Market + Wellness. The event starts at 16:00 and lasts until 21:00. Entrance is ten guilders, five guilders for children under 12.
