19 aircraft and 26 destinations by the end of 2015
While InselAir was still celebrating its new Aruba – Manaus route, its 7th MD (17 in total), arrived at Curacao International Airport, yesterday, January 14th. InselAir plans to add more aircraft to its fleet this year to grow from 22 to 26 destinations by the end of 2015. New destinations include Havana, Cali and Bucaramanga in Colombia, San Juan in Puerto Rico and Quito in Ecuador. Local training and maintenance “This MD was acquired from American Airlines and is in perfect shape. Our own maintenance team will conduct all the necessary checks and paperwork and the aircraft will be refurbished and painted in the recognizable InselAir colors”, says Ivo Oduber, Chief Maintenance Officer of InselAir. “As the fleet grows, our maintenance team is getting bigger as well and now consists of over 200 people which are locally recruited and internally trained by InselAir”, ends Oduber.
